Ship Auxiliary Equipment - Distance Learning
Course Objective
After completing this training, the participants will be familiar with various auxiliaries found in the ship. Trainees will know the operation principles, basic maintenance procedures and perform common trouble shooting tasks.
Content of the Course
• Auxiliary equipment design and function of auxiliaries SW Cooling Systems, HT & LT Cooling Water Systems, Fuel Oils Systems, Lube Oil Systems, Air Intake & Exhaust Systems, Starting & Instrumentation Systems, Ballast Water Treatment Systems, Fresh Water Generation Systems, Sewage Treatment Systems, Oily Water Treatment Systems, Oily Water Treatment Systems)
• Principles of operation
• Operating parameters
• Electrical / mechanical fault finding and trouble shooting
• Hands-on training on engine simulator
Flexible Training Delivery
GigaMare’s Engine Room Simulator is used remotely to support achievement of the set Learning Objectives. Each trainee or pair of participants will be using an engine room simulator through GigaMare’s Distance Learning Application.
To further maximize the learning experience, trainees can optionally come for an additional simulation training at GigaMare’s facility; wherein the Full Mission Engine Room Simulator as well as actual hands-on equipment will be used.
Prerequisites
The trainees should have attended basic engine room training and practical marine electricity.
Target Group
Marine Engineering Staff and Deck Officers who like to extend their know-how on the ship’s engineering systems.
