GigaMare Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced On-Call Instructor (Engine Fitter / Marine Technical) to deliver high-quality classroom and workshop-based training. The ideal candidate has strong shipboard experience, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively train and mentor marine trainees.
Qualifications
- Engine Fitter Qualification
- Minimum of five (5) years shipboard experience
- IMO Model Course 6.09 Certification
- Training Course for Instructors (Required)
- Welding Competency
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge
- Able to conduct hands-on welding demonstrations
- Capable of supervising workshop training safely
- Lathe Machine Operation Competency
- Skilled in machining operations
- Experience supervising practical training sessions
- Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom lectures and technical discussions
- Deliver hands-on practical workshop training
- Demonstrate welding and machining procedures
- Assess and evaluate trainee performance
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards
- Be available based on scheduled training programs
