Early phase

The early phase of the IMEC ETO Cadet Program at GigaMare brings together aspiring Electro-Technical Officers from diverse regions across the Philippines, each with unique backgrounds and experiences.

These cadets, all licensed professionals with degrees in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering, undergo a thorough pre-selection process managed by GigaMare.

Once shortlisted, they proceed to final interviews and medical examinations conducted by their sponsoring shipping companies. Those who are selected then begin their journey through the structured training phase at GigaMare.

Cadets In Action

During weekends, ETO Cadets typically engage in their homework and learning activities via GigaMare's cloud learning platform, helping them prepare for upcoming class topics. They are also encouraged to take advantage of computer-based trainings to make the most of their time at GigaMare. Additionally, case studies have been assigned to keep them productively engaged during their free time.

Cadets have access to course textbooks through GigaMare's cloud learning solutions and are welcome to use their personal laptops for homework, research, and further study in preparation for their lessons.
